The first trailer for The Killer has dropped.
Based on the iconic graphic novel, the film has been directed by legendary film maker, David Fincher.
If that weren't exciting enough, Michael Fassbender stars as the titular hitman.

Just as with the original book series, the film follows the titular assassin (Fassbender) after a hit goes wrong.
After the fateful incident, the killer must battle his employers and becomes involved in an international manhunt.
If that wasn't exciting enough, the action thriller has been directed by David Fincher - the legendary filmmaker behind Seven, Gone Girl and Zodiac.
The Killer also has a stacked cast with Tilda Swinton, in a yet to be revealed role.

Whilst some details about the upcoming film have yet to be released, the film has been in development for nearly two decades - becoming a passion project for Fincher.
In fact, the director first signed on to do the film back in 2007 but sadly, it struggled to find a production company and distributor.
Thankfully, the film will now be released in September after the filmmaker struck a deal with Netflix.
There's considerable hype around the film already, especially as Fincher's last Netflix movie, Monk, won the director two Oscars.

Ahead of it's premiere at the Venice Film Festival, an executive for the streaming site shared their excitement about the project.
Film Chief Scott Stuber told Variety that The Killer is a 'a really provocative and interesting movie'.
He added: “It is about the methodology of that world, which David details better than anyone...”
He’s so good in the detail of method … of watching something unfold. It’s a really fun, big movie in the hands of one of the best film-makers.”

Fans will also be excited to see Fassbender return to our screens, after a long hiatus.
The actor's last roles was in X-Men: Dark Phoenix alongside James McAvoy and Sophie Turner.
During his break, the 46-year-old also welcomed his first child with actor Alicia Vikander in 2021.
He also took up autoracing in 2017, even entering the Le Mans series back in 2021.
