Jeopardy! fans slam contestants after they gave ‘embarrassing’ answer for show's 'easiest question ever’

If you're a fan of Disney, it's hard to imagine getting this Jeopardy! question wrong

Jeopardy! viewers were left furious at the performance of all three contestants this week as they lost out on what people have described as the 'easiest' question ever.

Host Ken Jennings led another set of players through to the final round of Jeopardy! on Wednesday (April 10), when they were tasked once again with trying to guess the answer to his clue.

Considering recent categories on the show have included the US Government, Mythology and Space Shuttles, the topic that the contestants in this particular episode were faced with might seem pretty simple in comparison - but I guess it depends on your interests.

The topic the contestants found themselves faced with was Animated Film Characters.

Now, if you're a fan of Disney and Pixar, I can imagine you'd be leaning forwards and rubbing your hands together in anticipation for this one - this is what all those years of fandom have been leading up to.

Unfortunately the category didn't prove quite so easy for the three contestants as Jennings read out the question: "In this 2017 film, Dante is a hairless breed known as a Xolo dog."

Ringing any bells?

It soon became clear that none of the contestants knew the correct answer to the question, with contestant Lee Wilkin answering 'What is Chinese Crested?', while lawyer Daniel Rosenberg suggested 'Superpets', having initially crossed out 'Zootopia'.

Finally, contestant Lucas Partridge answered: 'What is Luca?'

If you know the answer then you'll know it's none of the above, with Jennings revealing that the answer was actually Coco.

"The Xolo dog is the national dog of Mexico. The Xoloitzcuintle," he explained.

If you're feeling pretty frustrated right now, join the club.

"Holy c**p, I immediately knew that Final," one viewer wrote after the clip from the episode was shared on YouTube, adding: "Shocked that all three missed it."

"Beautiful movie, really surprised that no one got it," another fan added.

One viewer described the question as the 'easiest Final Jeopardy ever', while another said it was an 'embarrassing round for everyone involved'.

"I've never even SEEN Coco and I still knew the answer," wrote someone else.

Disney's Coco follows the story of a young boy named Miguel, whose dreams of becoming an accomplished musician are stamped on by his family's generations-old ban on music.

Dante is introduced as Miguel's spirit animal as he continues his adventure in the land of the dead.
