Joffrey Baratheon and Cersei Lannister have been voted the most hated male and female characters in TV history.
Ranker.com, a website featuring polls on entertainment, brands, sports, food, and culture, asked its followers to list all the people who we've thrown popcorn at over the years.
The short-lived King of the Iron Throne came in hot at number one, while Mummy Dearest landed at number four.

Coming in before Cersei were Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Ramsey Bolton (also from Game of Thrones), who came in at number two and three, respectively.
It’s no surprise to many that King Joffrey has taken out the top spot.
Livia Soprano from The Sopranos came in at fifth, Caillou from Caillou was sixth, Todd Alquist and Skyler White from Breaking Bad were seventh and eighth respectively, while The Governor from The Walking Dead and Rachel Berry from Glee rounded out the list as ninth and tenth.

Jack Gleeson, who appeared as King Joffrey in seasons one to four, recently returned to the small screen in Netflix’s Sex Education after quitting acting in 2014.
He's previously dispelled rumors that he walked away from acting due to being accosted on the street by Game of Thrones fans.
Unlike his former castmate Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen Baratheon), who previously shared that one fan threatened to punch him in the face, Gleeson swore his fans are perfectly pleasant.
He believes it’s because people assumed fans were ‘attacking’ him due to depicting a widely hated character.
"A lot of people come up to me because I guess this rumor started that people were horrible to me on the street or I get attacked… whereas I've never had one negative experience," he said, as per Entertainment Weekly.

"I feel like people are extra nice to me because they think people attack me, so maybe I should keep the rumor going."
The only challenging experience he faced was being recognized during his university days.
"While I was filming Game of Thrones, I was also in university in Dublin and even though since I was a kid all I wanted to be was a celebrity, when I became famous, I then realized… whenever I go to a pub all of my friends then just have to become photographers because people give them their phone and then their night is ruined," he said.
But despite this, ‘every interaction was perfectly lovely and perfectly nice’.
