Many Netflix subscribers are flocking online to praise an 'underrated' apocalyptic series they are bingeing in one day.
With the amount of film and TV shows on the popular streaming platform, it can be pretty difficult to know what to pick to unwind for the evening.
Thankfully, groups such as Facebook's 'Netflix Bangers' exist, allowing those in a bit of a pickle to see what subscribers are enjoying.
The current talk of the town is actually a series that has been out for a while, and that's The Rain.

Set in an apocalyptic background, The Rain released on Netflix some six years ago now.
Starring the likes of Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Alba August and Evin Ahmad, The Rain certainly has a cult following.
The Rain essentially sees the world as we know it comes to an end thanks to a rain-carried virus that wipes out nearly everyone in Scandinavia.
This particular Netflix series picks up some years after the devastating virus, as the official synopsis explains: "Six years after a rain-borne virus wipes out most of Scandinavia's population, two siblings join a band of young survivors seeking safety — and answers."

Despite being out for a fair while at this point, The Rain is still being talked about on internet forums to this day.

While the second season of The Rain has garnered mixed reviews, the general consensus from industry critics is one of good for season one.
