Believe it or not, The Simpsons has been around over 30 years, as the first series aired on now very old TV screens back in 1989.
Thirty-four seasons later, The Simpsons will forever be a staple in pop culture folklore for its dopey characters and hilarious moments.
And let's not forget about all the apparent future predictions the show has got right, too.

But imagine if that animated sitcom you've come to know and love for so many years was to change and be completely different.
Well, that is exactly what AI has done with The Simpsons, turning it from a cartoon to a 1980s live- action sitcom.
And the new version of The Simpsons is quite unsettling for how realistic it looks, as people flock to social media to discuss their thoughts.

'The Simpsons as an 80s sitcom' was uploaded to The Pharoah Nerd YouTube channel, showcasing the opening credits of The Simpsons sitcom.
The sequence starts off with a shot of the Simpsons' home - 742 Evergreen Terrace - followed by the characters.
It starts with Homer - who quite frankly doesn't really look like too similar to his cartoon counterpart, if you can get similar that is.
Next up is Marge, who does boast her traditional blue hair and green dress.

The three kids - Bart, Lisa and Maggie are next, who actually look very much like each other - definitely telling they are supposed to be siblings.

Santa's Little Helper follows, and obviously in the sitcom he is a real-life greyhound rather than the cartoon one in the real show.
Also appearing in the opening sequence is Ned Flanders - who really looks like he is out of Star Trek - Principal Skinner, Groundskeeper Willie and Milhouse Van Houten.
But it doesn't stop there, because we also get a look at the AI-generated human versions of Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum, Chief Wiggum and Moe Szyslak in his usual spot at the pub.
Joining him is Barney Gumble, Carl and Lenny, Mr Burns, Apu, Comic Book Guy and of course Sideshow Bob.

Fans of The Simpsons have taken to the comment section of the YouTube video to discuss their thoughts on the sitcom generated solely by AI.

One person said: "These images capture the essence of the characters so well it’s almost scary."
A second added: "We need to push the AI further, these episodes need to be real."
Meanwhile, a third said: "I would so watch this. In 10 years AI will be able to create artificial episodes of these characters."
