Local media reported the incident occurred on Thursday 16 June after the van flipped off the road in a desert area. The crew were reported to have been working in the nearby Santa Rosalia area at the time for The Chosen One.

The Netflix series is described by the streaming platform as: "A 12-year-old boy learns he’s the returned Jesus Christ, destined to save humankind. Based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Peter Gross."

The series was being filmed for Netflix. (
