Ariana Grande has been praised for 'ending critiques and haters' with a lyric in the final track of her new album.
The 30-year-old star dropped her first album in more than three years today (8 March), with Eternal Sunshine now available to stream and download.
The album features 13 songs, including her latest single 'yes, and?', and ends with a track titled 'ordinary things'.

The song talks about how a couple could do all sorts of fancy things, from popping all the champagne in California to hanging out at the Louvre in Paris all night, but Grande then sings: "But I don't want anything / But more time."
The lyrics for the chorus read: "No matter what we do / There's never gonna be an ordinary thing / No ordinary things with you / It's funny but it's true / There's never gonna be an ordinary thing / As long as I'm with you."
The lyrics highlight just how special the person Grande is singing about really is, as everything 'ordinary' around them becomes exciting.
Of course, it's not uncommon for pop stars to sing about hypothetical partners or loved ones for the sake of a good pop song, but Grande has recently caused controversy with news of her relationships.

The singer has most recently been linked to her Wicked costar Ethan Slater, with news of the romance emerging just three days after news of Grande's divorce from husband Dalton Gomez came to light.
Slater himself had been married and shared a child with his wife Lilly before he filed for divorce in 2023.
News of the relationship between Slater and Grande sparked speculation as to whether the pair had struck up a romance before ending their previous relationships, but sources close to the couple have denied that anyone was unfaithful.
Grande doesn't explicitly mention Slater in 'ordinary things', but there is one lyric in particular that caught fans' attention after the criticism she's faced.
"You hit like my biggest fan whеn I hear what the critiques say," it reads, followed by the line "You hit just likе a green light when I'm stuck runnin' real late."

After Grande's album dropped, fans took to X to praise the singer for the line likening the person to their biggest fan.
One person commented: "Oooo she ended them critiques and haters!"
Another wrote: "she handled it wonderfully."
"she knows she’s our ride or die," added a third.

Other tracks in Grande's new album also hint at stages in relationships, with one track describing her boxing up the shoes of someone who has left, while another points to the end of a 'situationship', saying: “I spent so much on therapy, but you didn’t even try”.
