People are flooding to social media in awe of a Swedish record producer and songwriter dubbed 'the all-time most successful songwriter after Lennon/ McCartney'.
When you think of a hit like '...Baby One More Time' you probably only think of Britney Spears, and similarly with 'I Want It That Way,' you'll be thinking of the Backstreet Boys. But what if I told you those iconic tunes were actually co-written by a 52-year-old Swedish man?

The genius songwriter has written or co-written a whopping 25 songs that have reached the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100. And it's fair to say you'll recognise more than just a few.

You may not have heard of him before, but it turns out some of us have been living under a rock, with fans of the songwriter flooding to social media to raise awareness of the hit songwriter.
Taking to Reddit to share an image from the songwriter's Wikipedia page, fans of Max Martin are bursting with praise for him.

A Reddit user said: "He has written for [a very long list]. And much more, and thats only writing, if you dig into productions and collaborations his record is insane.
"What's hilarious is that he originally had a metal band, and at the same time was the main creative driver of the boy band craze."
Another added: "He didn’t just write for them. He wrote a lot of their absolute biggest hits. I’ve read that he makes demos and sings them himself to send to the artist, and he’s insistent that the song be done just like the demo.
"It's kind of funny to know that out there somewhere exists an original demo with a Swedish guy singing 'Hit Me Baby One More Time'."
And as a third pointed out, those in the music industry - or at least with much greater knowledge about it than most of us - already know Martin is 'kind of a legend'.
