Following the latest school shooting in the US, a chilling gun safety advert has been doing the rounds on social media.
Nineteen children and two adults were killed in the mass shooting when a lone gunman, named as Salvador Ramos, opened fire inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, yesterday, May 24.
It's believed Ramos was killed by law enforcement at the scene following the attack, which has raised fresh questions about gun violence in America.
One Twitter user named David Diego looked to a previous advert on gun safety, writing: "This really hit home today."

The clip shows a man storming through an office while carrying an old-fashioned musket gun. Although the receptionist tries to stop him, he finds his target and shoots before having to reload the barrel as the workers make their escape.
Text at the end of the ad reads: "Guns have changed. Shouldn't our gun laws?"
The tweet was part of a larger thread which posed the question: "Aren’t we already trying the 'more guns' approach to public safety?"
Below the ad, one person wrote: "The Republican response to mass shootings is always the same: thoughts, prayers, and MORE guns.

"But the US is already swimming in guns. We have more guns than people. We tried it their way. Their way failed. Now it's time to try evidence-based policy change."
President Joe Biden, who has spoken multiple times about America's need for stricter firearm control, gave an emotional speech to the press following the latest shooting, asking when the US will 'stand up to the gun lobby'.
In an address at the White House, he said: "Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen? Where in God’s name is our backbone to have the courage to deal with it and stand up to the lobbies?
"It’s time to turn this pain into action. For every parent, for every citizen in this country, we have to make it clear to every elected official in this country: It’s time to act.
"It’s time – for those who obstruct or delay or block the common sense gun laws, we need to let you know that we will not forget. We can do so much more. We have to do more."

The Texas school shooting is the 38th in an educational facility in 2022, according to a CNN count, while nonprofit organisation Gun Violence Archive statistics show there have been 212 mass shootings in America since the start of the year.
