Joe Biden pretends to gobble up little girl before sniffing her in bizarre moment

Joe Biden has been called out for his odd interaction with a young girl.

The President of The United States was leaving Helsinki on Thursday (14 July) as he rounded off his European trip.

But before boarding Air Force One, Biden met with embassy staff members and their families, who lined the tarmac at Helsinki-Vantaan International Airport.

However, one moment caught some people's attention as looking a little odd.

A clip captured by Fox showed Biden interacting with what appeared to be a mother and her young daughter.

Biden is seen leaning into the little girl, placing his mouth on her shoulder.

As she moves away, the 80-year-old moves in to try and peck her cheek, but then carries on to the next person in line.

Since the clip was released, it has seen Biden come in for some criticism from people online, who said it all looked a bit weird.

Taking to Twitter, one user said: "Both my parents did it to me, on my arm like a couple times, it's like they're "eating you" but it's weird to do it to other people's kids."

Another commented: "JoeBiden is one weird old man... "

Presidential rival Donald Trump also jumped into the debate, remarking: "Biden should be in a nursing home, not leading the free world."

While someone else put: "Biden pretended to bite the back of this little girl today in Finland. She was, clearly, scared and not amused."

This comes after he stunned audiences when he suddenly jumped out of his seat during a live interview and left.

Biden was being interviewed on MSNBC on Thursday, but got up out of his chair and started to leave the studio while the cameras were still rolling and they hadn’t even cut away to a commercial break yet.

He stood up, shook hands incredibly awkwardly with host Nicolle Wallace, then walked away after she’d thanked him for giving her the interview.

The Democrat doesn’t give many interviews, which is – you’d have to think – a perk of being the POTUS.

You can usually find an excuse to say you’re busy.

“Don’t go anywhere,” Wallace told her viewers.

However, that clearly didn’t register with Joe. He was up and away, walking off the set behind her.

UNILAD had contacted the White House for comment.
