Wild fan runs on field at Super Bowl and gets tackled by security during the game

Probably wasn't the smartest idea

A football fan seemed to think it was a good idea to run onto the Super Bowl football field.

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are going head-to-head in Las Vegas in the hopes of taking home the Super Bowl trophy.

While many fans are watching the game from the stands or their TVs, this guy wanted a proper piece of the action and decided to run onto the pitch.

Evidently losing his shirt on the way, the man sprinted onto the field before several security guards tackled him to the ground.

A second shirtless guy also ran onto the field at the same time and was taken down by security as well.

It's likely the two men hoped to get five seconds of fame with their questionable stunt, but the moment wasn't actually aired on television.

The moment was captured on camera by The Sporting Tribune's CEO, Arash Markazi.

"Security quickly took down a shirtless fan that ran onto the field," he wrote on X next to the clip.

"There were actually two fans but both were taken away quickly after running onto the field."

The manoeuvre left some people confused as the fans will have paid thousands of dollars for their tickets, ultimately to be thrown out of the stadium before the game even finished.

In fact, some of the most expensive seats were priced at a staggering $90,000.

At one stage on StubHub, the cheapest tickets available were retailing at £5,164 ($6,549). This price range will have got fans a seat around 300 Level or Upper Premium/Sideline.

Meanwhile, if you managed to get Club Premium or Club Sideline seats, it will have cost you the big bucks.

To sit Club Premium Chiefs side, it would have cost you ask much as £70,123 ($88,919) per seat.

As you'd expect, food and drink at the stadium isn't cheap either.

One slice of pizza costs $12.99, and an extra dollar on top if you fancy a bit of pepperoni!

The only reasonable thing we could see on the menu was an American classic, the hot dog.

These bad boys cost you about $2.99, and to be fair, we think that’s justified.

Limited edition Super Bowl popcorn buckets are also being sold at the Allegiant Stadium this weekend, for a fee of $14.99.

You're able to keep the bucket, however, and go up for refills for just $2.99.
