Police have released an update in the investigation into a carjacking victim in Florida.
On Thursday (April 11) just before 6:00pm, 31-year-old Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas was sat at a red light in her car at the intersection of East Lake Drive and Tuskawilla Road in in the Winter Springs area Seminole County, Florida when someone with a gun approached her vehicle.
As she was sat in front of the red light, a gunman is reported as having gotten out of a green Acura car located directly behind her and forced his way into De Aguasvivas' car, authorities say.

A witness to the incident sat in another vehicle captured the horrifying ordeal on their phone camera.
Seminole County Sheriff's Office report: "An armed suspect, believed to be a white or Hispanic male, in a black hoodie, what appears to be a Halloween mask, and dark clothing can be seen pointing a weapon at the driver of a white Dodge Durango, (Florida’s License Plate KVFF22) and then getting in the back driver’s side door.
"The Durango has 'For Sale' and a phone number written in plain view on the back window. A second suspect, also believed to be a white or Hispanic male, drove immediately behind the Durango that the armed subject exited in a green Acura sedan with an obscured license plate."
According to Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma, the car then made 'a U-turn' - the green Acura following closely behind - with authorities suspecting De Aguasvivas did 'not want to go' in that direction, but was 'ordered' to by the gunman.
Nearly two hours later, authorities received reports of a car on fire in a new construction area.

On attending the scene, they found a badly damaged car with around a dozen shell casings also at the scene.
A body was located inside the car which authorities believe to be that of De Aguasvivas, however, this has yet to be confirmed by DNA and dental records.
And officials have since revealed De Aguasvivas made a call to her husband shortly before the attack took place.
Investigators report De Aguasvivas phoned her husband to tell him she was worried she was being followed and then that she'd been rammed by another car.

Police report neither De Aguasvivas nor her husband then called police, instead it was a witness to the incident who dialled 911.
Sheriff Lemma said in a news conference: "There’s a lot of unknowns, a lot of things that will leave people scratching your head.
"Why did she and her husband not call 911? I don’t know. Why did she stop at the red light? There’s a lot of things that we’ll absolutely never know, but this is a tragic incident nevertheless."
Sheriff Lemma said De Aguasvivas' husband has 'cooperated' with authorities and is not a suspect or person of interest.

According to the husband, De Aguasvivas was driving to see family members at the time of the attack.
The sheriff also provided the latest update in a clip uploaded to Seminole County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page yesterday (April 16).
The Acura which had been behind De Aguasvivas' car was found 'parked and abandoned'. It was traced as being an unregistered vehicle which had likely on the streets since February earlier this year. Police are still searching for the people who were inside the vehicle.

The vehicle has since been linked to another incident - the killing of a tow truck driver named Juan Luis Cintron which occurred on April 10 - with Cintron having towed the Acura on March 19.
A spokesperson told NBC News: "We are still in the early stages of this open and active murder investigation, but we can tell you that this was not a random act and that detectives believe Mr. Cintron Garcia was targeted. We have no suspect or motive information."
