The parents of one of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans found dead in their friend's snowy backyard believe they know what really happened.
David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, were all found dead outside a home in Kansas City, Missouri, rented by Jordan Willis on January 9. This was two days after they went over to watch the Chiefs take on the LA Chargers.
It wasn't until police knocked on the door to conduct a welfare check - after receiving a call from one of the men's fiancée - that Willis had any idea that his friends were dead in his backyard, according to his lawyer, John Picerno.

Willis allegedly didn't think it was 'unusual for his friends to have left their cars there overnight', and had not realized people were looking for them.
However, as police further investigated the scene, they confirmed there was a body on the back porch of Willis' home and another two bodies in the backyard.
Kansas City Police Captain Jake Becchina has noted that the case is '100 percent not being investigated as a homicide'.
The Police Captain said in a statement: "There are no specific threats or concerns for the surrounding community at this time. The resident at the house was cooperative with detectives the day the deceased were discovered."
However, the heartbroken families of the deceased believe there are major inconsistencies in the story.

Johnson's father, Ricki Johnson Sr., has spoken to Fox News Digital about what he thinks happened to his son.
He said his son was not 'irresponsible' and that he would not have gone outside without a coat during the freezing temperatures.
Speaking of Willis, Johnson Sr. claimed: "I believe he drugged them, dragged them outside and waited two days to call police.
"He may have done some drugs and stuff in the past, but I do not believe all three of them did drugs and fell over dead in that backyard."

John Picerno, Willis' attorney, has since labeled the claim as 'ridiculous'.
Nonetheless, the grieving father added: "I’m not going to say that during a game he didn’t have some drinks. But he wasn’t irresponsible that he was going to go outside and freeze to death.
"You’re talking about three grown men. If he was out there just freezing like they said, he could’ve kicked out a window to get into the house."
Johnson's mother, Norma Chester, shared the same theory.

"Seriously, these were responsible men. How do they go in a backyard and freeze to death, all three of them?" the mother asked.
"Something that comes to my mind, this guy [Willis] wants to brag about how smart he is, he’s a scientist. My thoughts are that he concocted something and gave it to all three men," she suggested.
A toxicology report conducted by the medical examiner is expected to shed more light on the deaths. The results of the report have not yet been released.
Willis has since moved out of the property.
