People hooked after just one episode of revenge thriller series on Netflix

Apparently, it's 'not your typical US drama'

The weekend is here, folks, and I'm not sure about you, but I'll probably be spending most of mine binge-watching Netflix.

Spring is still yet to have sprung, so film and TV lovers might as well get some well-needed TV time in before it becomes antisocial again to sit inside all day.

New content to land on Netflix this week includes Guy Ritichie's The Gentleman, Millie Bobby Brown's newest movie, Damsel, and the rather raunchy series, Supersex.

But sometimes it's the hidden gems that people enjoy the most on the popular streaming platform, and Wrong Side of the Tracks fits this description.

First released in 2022, the Spanish-language drama has since had a further two seasons - meaning all three of them (made up of 24 episodes) are ready for binging purposes.

The synopsis for the programme reads: "When his teenage granddaughter falls victim to the drug dealers overtaking his neighborhood, a fed-up war veteran takes matters into his own hands."

Netflix viewers have been raving about Wrong Side of the Tracks.

Preparing for some weekend watching, one social media user took to Facebook page Netflix Bangers yesterday (March 7) to ask people for their thoughts on Wrong Side of the Tracks (known as Entrevías in Spanish).

"Let me tell you, I watched an episode and have been hooked," raved one person. "I love international series!! This one is so good."

Another viewer said: "This is the best thing on Netflix right now brilliant acting should all get awards."

"Watching this at the moment. Loving it so far. Grampa rules," a third went on.

Someone else added: "Loved it!! Well worth bingeing!!"

And for those of you who are now considering watching Wrong Side of the Tracks in the wake of people's positive comments, you'll be pleased to know a fourth series is thought to be arriving on Netflix very soon - despite season three having only just landed.

Season three debuted on February 28, and the fourth is rumored to dropping sometime in May, as filming for the new season is said to have wrapped in January.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who portrays Santi in the series, labelled the filming for it as 'the most brutal project I’ve faced in my entire career'.

He also said he was struggling to bid farewell to the show, with the fourth season set to be it's last.

"I don’t know if I’m ready to let you go," Jiménez said of Wrong Side of the Tracks, and I'm sure fans feel the same.
