Halyna Hutchins' husband says the idea that Alec Baldwin isn't responsible for his wife's death is 'absurd'.
In a recent interview, Matt Hutchins explained how he felt 'so angry' that Baldwin spoke publicly about his wife's death, without taking responsibility for it.
Halyna Hutchins died after being fatally shot on the set of Rust on October 21, 2021, when a firearm Baldwin was holding discharged.

Matt, along with three crew members from the set, are now said to be suing Baldwin, among others.
In an interview with USA Today, Matt spoke about watching the interview Baldwin gave to ABC following the incident.
In the interview, Baldwin said that while he felt sadness for Halyna's death, he 'could not say who' was responsible.

Matt said he was angry Baldwin talked about his wife's death 'so publicly' but did 'not accept any responsibility, after having just described killing her'.
When the interviewer asked if Matt felt the majority of the blame lies with Baldwin, he said 'the idea that the person holding the gun, causing it to discharge, is not responsible, is absurd to me'.
Matt said gun safety wasn't the only problem on the set of Rust and that there were 'a number of industry standards that were not practiced'. He believes there were 'multiple responsible parties', and said he will be suing Baldwin, producers and crew members from the film.
In a statement relating to the case, Matt's lawyer Brian Panish said the incident 'never should have happened' and that Matt has 'lost his long-term wife who was the love of his life, and his son lost a mother', Variety reports.

While the case has been filed, no criminal charges have yet been brought and the incident is still under investigation, Sky News reports. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office is now working to understand how live ammunition made its way onto the film's set.
Search warrants from the case have revealed the film's armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, loaded the gun with what she believed was dummy ammunition. The gun was then handed to Dave Halls, the first assistant director, who gave the gun to Baldwin.
Along with Matt Hutchins, script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, gaffer Serge Svetnoy, and Cherlyn Schaefer, the key medic, have also filed lawsuits.
